FEBRUARY 11, 2014 - Jesse Bump, PhD, MPH, assistant professor of international health at the School of Nursing & Health Studies, has been invited to serve on the editorial board of a new journal.
“Health Systems and Reform is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes high quality research articles addressing public health, health policy and health system management challenges and reform across the globe,” according to the journal’s Web site.
The first issue is scheduled for September 2014.
The publication aspires to be the “leading journal of reference in health systems and reform” for academics, the media, political leaders, professors, and students, among others.
“The journal mission is to create a global platform for sharing cutting-edge research, knowledge, skills and lessons in health systems and reform,” the invitation letter says.
The editors-in-chief are Joseph Antoun, MD, MPP, MS, co-director of the Center for Health Policy at the University of Chicago, and Michael R. Reich, PhD, Taro Takemi Professor of International Health Policy at Harvard School of Public Health.
The journal is published by Landes Biosciences, which publishes more than 40 journals.
