International Health Department

The Department of International Health offers undergraduate and graduate programs in global health with unique opportunities for hands-on learning and research locally, nationally, and abroad. Alumni have gone on to further graduate study or careers at prestigious organizations.

Exciting Learning Opportunities

  • The Department of International Health houses a bachelor’s degree in global health, administers a university-wide master’s degree in global health, and offers a fifth-year accelerated master’s degree in global health for current bachelor’s students.
  • The department supports a dynamic program that places both undergraduate and graduate students at precepted sites around the globe for a credit-bearing research experience. About 250 undergraduate students have done such coursework from 2003-2018.
  • Faculty members in the department are both academic researchers and global health practitioners, creating a vibrant learning community for students that combines practice, science, and theory.
  • Alumni go on to prestigious graduate programs and impressive careers in the United States and abroad.

Accelerated Master’s – Global Health

The Department of International Health houses a fifth-year accelerated MS in Global Health Program. Current students in the department’s BS in Global Health Program have the option to apply and should consult their advisor early on in their junior year.
