Post Master's Certificate
Dynamic Learning

Graduate students practice clinical skills on Neo Nate, the pediatric simulator in the school's O'Neill Family Foundation Clinical Simulation Center.
The Post Master's Certificate (PMC) program provides master's prepared advanced practice nurses with an opportunity to expand their role to obtain specific competencies to care for a broader population, thereby making them eligible to sit for a board certification exam in an additional specialty.
Students who are currently in an FNP, ACNP, CCNS, CNM, WHNP, or CRNA role may be eligible; Nurse Educators are not eligible for the PMC.
The Department of Nursing currently offers certificates in the following specialty areas:
- AG-ACNP/CNS
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Nurse Educator (CNE)
The minimum number of credits to receive a PMC varies by specialty. The PMC programs may be customized based on each individual student’s prior academic experience.
Upon completion, the student will be eligible to sit for a Board Certification Examination in a designated population and specialty of ACNP, CNS, FNP or CNE.
