Department of Nursing Annual Ethics Symposium
The Department of Nursing at NHS is hosting its annual ethics symposium
on April 12.
This year's topic is "Power Differentials in Health Care: Restoring
the Balance," featuring keynote speaker Tawara Goode, director
of the National Center for Cultural Competence at Georgetown's Center
for Child and Human Development. Respondents are Carol Taylor, director
of the Center for Clinical Bioethics at GUMC, and Ann Neale, senior
research scholar at CCB.
The event takes place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in White-Gravenor Hall
Room 201.

The symposium is sponsored by the department's Council on Values-Based
Health Care, including council chair Judith Baigis and faculty members
Jean Farley, Jeanne Matthews, Deborah Schiavone, and Matt Hart. Karen
Strzelczyk (NHS'08) is a student representative on the council.
