On Monday, February 12, the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing & Health Studies co-hosted the president of Health Sciences University of Mongolia.

NHS Dean Bette Keltner, Ph.D., and SOM Dean Stephen Ray Mitchell, M.D., met with Dr. Tserenkhuu Lkhagvasuren at an afternoon meeting in St. Mary’s Hall.

The purpose of Dr. Lkhagvasuren’s trip to the United States was to visit schools in the D.C. area that offered health sciences in the curriculum. The three discussed Georgetown University’s structure and educational activities, as well as potential areas of collaboration.

Afterwards, Dr. Lkhagvasuren met with other NHS faculty, including Charles Evans, M.D., Ph.D., chair of the Department of Human Science, Bernhard Liese, M.D., chair of the Department of International Health, and Amanda Liddle, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Nursing.
