Health Systems Hosts French Delegation

On Tuesday, January 30, 2007, the Department of Health Systems Administration at the School of Nursing & Health Studies hosted a delegation of French insurance executives.

Nearly a dozen senior executives from CNP Assurances, the leading personal insurance company in France, attended the event in St. Mary's Hall. According to its Web site, CNP is involved in three main segments of the personal insurance market-savings, pensions, and personal risk.

Robert Friedland, Ph.D., an associate professor in the department, presented. Friedland, a health care economist, discussed the health care system, retirement income, and long-term care in the United States.
