CHE Faculty Publish In Expansive Volume
Four faculty members at
the Georgetown University Center on Health and Education have
published in the Handbook of Intellectual and Developmental
Disabilities, published in 2007 by Springer.
Sharon
Landesman Ramey, Ph.D., Craig T. Ramey, Ph.D., and Robin Gaines
Lanzi, Ph.D., contributed a chapter on, "Early Intervention:
Background, Research
Findings, and Future Directions." Laraine Masters Glidden,
Ph.D., also co-authored a
chapter entitled, "Family Assessment and Social Support."
The volume examines in detail the numerous advances in the field
and summarizes
major domains and emerging sub-specialties into one reference.
Contributors
include a panel of leading scientist-clinicians who offer much-needed
insight
and guidance into ongoing improvements in theory and practice,
as well as
intervention and prevention.
The Rameys, longtime and internationally renowned experts in the
field, direct
CHE. Lanzi, who serves as the center's research director, is also
assistant
professor in the Department of Human Science at NHS. And Glidden
is a visiting
professor who also edits the International Review of Research
in Mental
Retardation, an Elsevier publication.
