Professor Co-Presents at NIDA Forum

Irene Jillson, Ph.D., assistant professor of nursing, recently co-presented a poster at a National Institute on Drug Abuse forum, held June 19-23, in Reno, Nev.

Jillson was among a team of researchers, led by Hamed Ekhtiari, M.D., of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

The group conducted a study entitled, "Why Do Women Start to Use Opiates? A Qualitative Research Study on Treatment-Seeking, Opiate-Dependent Women in Iran."

Jillson and Ekhtiari will again present their findings on July 9 at a seminar, which is co-sponsored by NIDA and the Fogarty International Center.
