NHS Professor Remains FACHE
Bernard J. Horak, Ph.D., professor of health systems administration
at NHS, was recently re-certified as a Fellow of the American College
of Healthcare Executives.
"Recertification represents your continued achievement in meeting
high standards of professional development and excellence as a health
care executive," said Cynthia A. Hahn, the organization's vice
president for membership.
"By participating in an ongoing program of involvement in professional
affairs, you have demonstrated your commitment to maintaining a high
level of professionalism in health care management," said Hahn,
also a fellow.
At NHS, Horak serves as director of the master's program
in health systems administration. He also teaches undergraduate-
and graduate-level courses in organizational theory and behavior,
strategic planning and marketing, and quality and performance improvement.
The American
College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional
society of more than 30,000 health care executives who lead hospitals,
health care systems, and other health care organizations. The organization
has a network of more than 80 chapters.
