New Development Director Joins NHS

and the Office of Advancement announced the hire of Kate
Paulsen
as the school's new director of development. She began Aug. 4.
Paulsen comes to NHS with a strong track record in the development
field, most recently as the director of development for the Joseph
E. Robert, Jr., Center for Surgical Care at Children's National Medical
Center in Washington.
She holds a master's degree from the Rollins School of Public Health
at Emory University, a bachelor's degree in biology from University
of Mary Washington, and a certificate in health care philanthropy
from the Madison Institute at the University of Wisconsin.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to play a role in supporting
the development of the best and brightest minds that will transform
health here in the U.S. and around the globe," Paulsen said.
Paulsen joins NHS Advancement veteran Katie Joyner, who
has been promoted to assistant director of development.
