Stoto Presents On Community Health
Michael
Stoto, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Health Systems Administration
at NHS, presented recently at the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention's Public Health Assessment Initiative Conference in
Atlanta. The August presentation covered, "A
Web-based Tool for Assessing and Improving the Usefulness of
Community Health Assessments."
The project is based upon work Stoto completed while at the RAND
Corporation and received CDC funding through the New York State
Department of Health. An invited paper on the subject will be published
next year in the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice
next year.
In addition, Stoto will be presenting at the California Health
Policy Forum in Sacramento this September. His topic will be, "Regionalization
in Local Public Health Systems," which is based upon work
he completed at RAND and Georgetown with support from the Robert
Wood Johnson Foundation.
