HSA Student Earns TRIAD/AUPHA Scholarship

Kenneth West, an incoming master’s degree student in the Department of Health Systems Administration at NHS, has been awarded a Triad Hospitals, Inc. Corris Boyd Scholarship.

The program provides a full-tuition scholarship to two deserving minority students entering master’s degree health care management programs that are full members of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.

Recipients are also awarded a $13,000 per year grant to the school to provide the student with an assistantship and a stipend loan to cover additional out-of-pocket expenses for the student.

Students are also offered, and expected to accept, a residency placement with Triad upon graduation.

West, a native of Ponchatoula, La., earned his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University. He currently resides in Baton Rouge.
