Master of Science in Health Systems Administration

Photo of students in classroomThe graduate program in Health Systems Administration employs a broad systems approach. The curriculum includes exposure to the social, technical, economic and policy forces that are shaping and reshaping the context of health care organizations and defining the management agenda. The three themes that integrate the curriculum are 1) understanding the organization and functions of the hospital because it is the most complex health care organization, 2) quality of care, because achieving high quality is the central moral and technical responsibility of our profession, and 3) leadership, because our contribution is individuals who have the competencies that are essential for organizing and leading people.
