Master of Science in Health Systems Administration
The graduate program in Health Systems Administration employs
a broad systems approach. The curriculum includes exposure to
the social, technical, economic and policy forces that are shaping
and reshaping the context of health care organizations and defining
the management agenda. The three themes that integrate the curriculum
are 1) understanding the organization and functions of the hospital
because it is the most complex health care organization, 2) quality
of care, because achieving high quality is the central moral
and technical responsibility of our profession, and 3) leadership,
because our contribution is individuals who have the competencies
that are essential for organizing and leading people.
