The
Georgetown University Journal of Health Sciences helps students
communicate health sciences and provides a medium for publishing
scholarly undergraduate papers related to the field. The
journal is completely driven by undergraduate students and
is the first journal of its kind to blend basic science and
human health with submissions from students in nursing, science,
health systems administration, and international health.

About Us
The Georgetown University Journal
of Health Science (GJHS)
began growth in the fall of 2002 in the Georgetown University
School of Nursing and Health Studies (NHS) Senior Science
Seminar Course. What began as list of ideas, under the guidance
of Dr. Daniel Gamett and Dr. Charles H. Evans, Jr., developed
into the NHS's first student run on-line publication. This
journal provides the opportunity for undergraduate students
to publish their scholarly papers.
The journal evolved from
a course project in 2002-2003 school year to a journal club
for students in the School of Nursing and Health Studies.
The first issue became available to the public in April 2003.
