How
close is Georgetown to downtown DC?
Georgetown's front gates are only two miles from the Washington
Monument, which is in the center of the National
Mall. You can
walk, run, bike, rollerblade, or take a bus downtown. It takes
about half an hour to walk downtown and
is even quicker if you jog, bike, rollerblade, or take a
