Through research, scholarship, service, and teaching, NHS faculty and students translate science into outcomes that benefit the public’s health. The school houses a multimillion-dollar research portfolio and undergraduate and nationally ranked graduate programs in four academic departments, including health systems administration, human science, international health and nursing. NURSING FACULTY POSITIONS AVAILABLEDEPARTMENT OF NURSING

The Department of Nursing at the Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies invites applications for full-time tenure or non-tenure track positions in nursing beginning Spring 2008.
Nursing leaders with current clinical expertise in the following specialty areas are encouraged to apply:

  • adult health
  • critical care nursing
  • nurse midwifery
  • pediatrics
  • physiologic nursing
  • public health nursing

The positions will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level dependent upon qualifications. Salary and benefits are highly competitive and include relocation assistance.

The Department of Nursing is situated in an innovative, multidisciplinary School of Nursing & Health Studies (NHS) that offers programs in health policy and management, international health, and human science. Outstanding School of Nursing and Health Studies resources support faculty research, collaboration, and teaching and include bench science resources in the NHS Discovery Center, the O’Neill Center for Simulation, and the Office of Research Support and Administration.

Qualifications include:

  • a master’s degree in nursing is required with an earned doctorate preferred,
  • a record of scholarship and excellence in nursing practice,
  • a program of funded research, or the demonstrated ability to obtain to external funding, is highly desirable for tenure track candidates.
