Photo of student studyingThe Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies (NHS) is comprised of four academic departments:

The Department of Health Systems Administration offers a broad systems approach to the management of health care organizations and leadership in the health care industry. It offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management and Policy and a Master of Science degree in Health Systems Administration.

The Department of Human Science provides an undergraduate human biology curriculum that is designed for students who wish to study the application of scientific discoveries in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics to human health.It awards a Bachelor of Science degree.

The Department of International Health offers one of the few undergraduate programs in international health in the United States with unique opportunities for hands-on learning locally, nationally, and abroad. The Bachelor of Science in International Health focuses on public health and health systems management, specifically emphasizing how the environment, culture, economics, and politics interact to influence health status around the globe.

The Department of Nursing offers a traditional undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program as well as an Accelerated Second Degree BSN program for students with a prior degree. In addition it offers six graduate nursing programs in the following areas: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; Acute and Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist; Family Nurse Practitioner; Nurse Anesthesia; and Nurse Midwifery/Women’s Health, and Nursing Education.
