Nurse-Midwifery
The Nurse-Midwifery program
is designed to prepare the graduate to manage a woman's normal
obstetrical and gynecological needs during the childbearing years,
to manage the care of the normal newborn, and to provide primary
care to women throughout the lifespan.
The
Program:
- offers clinical
placements arranged in local or out-of-state hospitals and outpatient
clinical sites, including freestanding birth centers
- has full-time
and part-time options available
- is 45 credit
hours
- prepares graduates
to take the certification examination
- is accredited*
by the American College of Nurse Midwives Division of Accreditation
- has a Post-Masters option
