Family Nurse Practitioner
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is designed to prepare
registered nurses to fulfill the role of a competent, caring practitioner
responsible for managing the care of families in the primary care
setting.
The Program:
- focuses
on providing knowledge and skills in health promotion, disease
prevention, assessment, and management of common acute and chronic
illnesses
- offers clinical
placements in Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Out-of-state
placements may be available in the third semester
- has full-time
and part-time options
- is 44-46
credit hours
- prepares
graduates to take the examination for board certification
- offers a Post-Masters option
