Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) program prepares registered
nurses to improve outcomes of acutely and critically ill patients
and their families.
The
Program:
- combines
advanced critical care knowledge from the physiological and psychosocial
sciences
- empowers
graduates to integrate evidence-based practice, alleviate patient
and family suffering, and facilitate ethical decision making
- provides
opportunities for students to learn from specialists in a wide
range of practice settings
- offers clinical
placements arranged in the Washington, D. C.
metropolitan area
- is 40 credit
hours, 600 clinical hours
- prepares
graduates to take the ACNP exam for board credentialing
by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
- offers a Post-Masters option
